WrestleMania Spoilers and Predictions

Mahalo's WrestleMania XXIV Predictions

John Cena vs. Randy Orton vs. Triple H (WWE Championship)

  • Ken: WWE has been waiting for the right time to put Triple H back into a title holder position, and now is that time. Triple H will win the title and solidify his comeback. The fall will likely be over Orton, setting up a "you never beat me" scenario between Triple H and John Cena at the next pay-per-view.

Edge vs. The Undertaker (World Heavyweight Championship)

  • Ken: Probably the most predictable match of the night (unless WWE turns the tables). Undertaker is 15-0 at WrestleMania, and that's not going to change. Undertaker was set to have a lengthy title run after last year's WrestleMania, which was cut short due to injury. This year Undertaker goes to 16-0 and takes the title from Edge.

Floyd "Money" Mayweather vs. The Big Show

  • Ken: I don't like to call this a match because it will be more of a spectacle/train wreck. The "match" is expected to be so choreographed that it could look really bad, especially knowing how bad of an actor Mayweather is. Intentional or not, Mayweather has come off to the fans as being a real jackass, so I expect most of the crowd to be pulling for Show. I think in the end, Mayweather wins due to outside interference. Either that or the whole thing will be a no contest melee.
  • Brad: A celebrity has never lost at a WrestleMania, so Mayweather will definitely win it, probably with a KO.

Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels

  • Ken: This could quite possibly be the match of the night. Expect Flair to go all out in his last match; that means vintage Flair eye-gouges, flops, and other classic moves. There will be a lot of near falls, but HBK will end up with the victory, followed by a very emotional send off for Flair.
  • Brad: Following an emotional Hall of Fame induction, I expect Flair to pull out all the stops and hopefully perform the match of the night. Unfortunately, Shawn Michaels will retire the Nature Boy regardless.

Money in the Bank Ladder Match

  • Ken: I have no doubt that Jeff Hardy would have been booked to win this match if he hadn't been suspended. And If Mr. Kennedy hadn't won this last year, he would be my sure fire pick with Hardy out. But there is the possibility Kennedy could win a second year in a row since a suspension last year pretty much ruined his money in the bank run. The only other person I see possibly winning is Chris Jericho. No matter who wins, we'll be in for a great match with a lot of big spots.
  • Brad: I think there will be a "surprise" 8th contestant announced for this match, and whoever that is will win.

Batista vs. Umaga

  • Ken: This match is a result of WWE not having anything for Batista right now. The good thing for WWE to do would be to put Umaga over on Batista, even if it isn't a full blown job. But the likely scenario is to have Batista win the match, which will either start off the show or be tossed in the middle of the card. I don't expect this to take very long.
  • Brad: Poor Batista has no angle going for him now, so to please the fans, he will have a smash match over Umaga.

Chavo Guerrero vs 24-Man Battle Royal Winner

  • Ken: The battle royal is airing on WWE.com prior to the start of WrestleMania, which is a shame because it would be more entertaining than the actual ECW title match. My prediction is Tommy Dreamer will win the battle royal and defeat Chavo for the ECW title in a very forgettable match.

Finlay vs. JBL

  • Ken: Expect this to be an old fashioned beat down with Finlay getting many shilelagh shots in on JBL. It's almost inevitable that Hornswoggle will be involved in one way or another, but JBL will escape with the victory after Vince McMahon interferes. Probably a rather short match.
  • Brad: I expect a slow-paced, but physical match between these two. In the end, Finlay will get his revenge, with the help of Hornswoggle.

BunnyMania: Ashley and Maria vs. The Glamazon and Melina

  • Ken: No one cares about this match and it will be a waste of time. A regular women's championship wrestling match would have been much better, but instead we get a gimmicky playboy frolic. What in the world Snoop Dogg will do during this match is also a mystery. The only possible saving grace will be Santino Marella. This will be over in less than five minutes.
  • Brad: I am going to take a bathroom break here.
