X-Men Origins: Wolverine is the 2009 prequel to the X-Men series of films. Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber, Ryan Reynolds and Dominic Monaghan are starring in the film. Wolverine takes place 17 years before the X-Men movies, and will depict the origin story of the comic book character Wolverine.¹

Leaked Movie Trailer

On December 14, 2008, a bootlegged copy of the X-Men Origins movie was posted on the Internet. The shaky, grainy image shows an approximately 2-minute video of the trailer, and provides some key plot points. An official version of the trailer was played before reels of The Day the Earth Stood Still and will reportedly be available in high definition off the MySpace Trailer Park Monday, December 15, 2008.²

Plot Nuggets and Spoilers

In this film, Wolverine (played by Hugh Jackman) hunts down Victor Creed/Sabertooth (played by Liev Schreiber) after Creed kills Wolverine's girlfriend. Wolverine will also be introduced to William Stryker during the film and will meet the character of Gambit, aka Remy LeBeau.³
