Whitney Houston is a Grammy Award winning Pop singer and one of the most successful female singers of all time. She began her professional singing career in the 1980s. Her success lasted into the 90s, when she appeared beside Kevin Costner in the movie Bodyguard. She recorded the song "I Will Always Love You" for the film. Since then she has dealt with drug and health related issues, a lawsuit from her father, John Houston, a divorce and most recently pregnancy related rumors.

Houston married her boyfriend of three years, Bobby Brown, on July 18, 1992. Their marriage was rocky and Houston soon became tabloid fodder due to her relationship with Brown.

On October 16, 2006, Houston filed for divorce from her husband. On April 24, 2007, the divorce was finalized, with Houston gaining custody of the couple's daughter, Bobbi Kristina Houston Brown.
