August 21, 2008: The U.S. women's soccer team won the gold medal with a 1-0 victory over Brazil. The victory came off the foot of midfielder Carli Lloyd in extra-time. This is the third gold medal for a U.S. women's soccer team in the past four Olympic tournaments.1
