Guide Note

The UN General Assembly (GA) is one of the six major branches of the United Nations. All 192 member nations of the UN¹ are represented in the GA, and it is the only branch in which each member is represented equally. The GA is responsible for deliberating over and forming official UN policies, overseeing the budget, and appointing members of the UN Security Council.
