Tim Howard Obama
J. Timothy Howard, a former Fannie Mae executive, was allegedly linked to Barack Obama's campaign via a mutual friend, another Fannie Mae former top executive, Franklin Raines.1 The Washington Post reported that John McCain's campaign exaggerated the connection between the troubled mortgage company and the Democratic presidential nominee in order to blame Obama for the economical crisis.2
According to various sources, there is no proven link between Howard and Obama, and any allegations that they discussed the economy and the mortgage crisis are mere speculations.1 2
