Thelonious Monk was a pioneering Jazz pianist and composer and is considered to be one of the founders of the "Bebop" style of Jazz. The works of Thelonious Monk are known for their unique rhythms, dissonant melody structures and unorthodox chord progressions. Monk also collaborated with many of the giants of the Bebop era, such as John Coltrane and Miles Davis.
