The Sims is a simulation-type strategy game developed by Maxis and video game Icon, Will Wright. Published by Maxis this game lets players create a virtual simulation of peoples lives and homesteads. The game is unlike others as there are no clear goals of objectives to obtain during game play. Instead you control and manipulate a virtual world environment, controlling everything from furniture placement to your characters mood.

About Will Wright
Will Wright is an icon in the video game development business. He is the co founder of Maxis and creator of the widely popular "Sims" video games. In 1989 he helped to create SimCity which is often credited as one of the most influential computer games of all time. He followed with a string of other successful simulation games such as SimEarth, SimAnt, and SimCity 2000. In March 2005 Wright announced his latest creation, Spore.
