The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is an action-adventure video game and is also the first Zelda game to be released on the Nintendo DS.

Story

You follow the adventures of Link and Tetra, the leader of a band of pirates, as they discover a ghost ship in dense fog. When Link falls into the water after Tetra gets into trouble, he awakens on a mysterious island explore deeper into time.

Gameplay

The controls are entirely touch-based. The control mechanics have been simplified to taps and movements via the stylus on the touch screen. Moving Link requires you to drag the stylus in the direction you want to go. You tap an enemy to do a quick slash attack and do a quick swiping motion to do a broader slash. Drawing circles makes Link perform a spink attack. The game also requires you to blow or should into the microphone for various reasons. Bombchus, bombs, bow and arrow, and other classic Link items work the way you expect. For example, you can draw in the flight path of the boomerang or bombchus. Like previous Zelda games, there are various dungeons as well as puzzles. Some boss battles also use both screens. There is a multiplayer mode after you finish the game. One player controls Link, and the opponent has control over several phantoms. Link has to collect as many triforce shards as he can and bring them to his base.
