Guide Note:

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is a SNES adventure/role-playing video game developed and published by Nintendo. It is the third game in the popular The Legend Of Zelda series. The game returns to the original The Legend of Zelda format, where players follow Link from a top-down view. As with past The Legend of Zelda games, players must guide Link as he tries to defeat Ganondorf and save Princess Zelda.

Storyline

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past has a lengthy storyline in which players travel through Hyrule and an altered state of Hyrule. In the beginning of the game, Link finds out his uncle has left to Hyrule Castle to save Princess Zelda. Link eventually follows his uncle and sees that he's too injured to continue. Link continues on and saves Zelda.

Link later finds out that a wizard named Agahnim plans to break a seal created by seven wise men hundreds of years ago. The seal was in place to trap Ganondorf in the Dark World. Agahnim planned to send the descendants of the seven wise men into the Dark World in order to free Ganondorf. The only thing that can defeat Agahnim is the Master Sword. Link sets out on his quest to find the Master Sword.

Later on in the game, Link is forced into the Dark World, where he appears as a rabbit. Eventually, Link obtains a Magic Mirror, which allows him to travel back and forth between the Dark World, and the Light World. The Dark World features dirt, swamp, skulls and a rundown environment, much different than the green pastures of the Light World.
