The Fugitive is a television drama about an innocent man's escape from death row. The show originally ran on ABC from 1963 through 1967. The series was remade for CBS and aired from 2000-2001. The 1993 film, The Fugitive, is based on the original series.

The Fugitive follows the exploits of Dr. Richard Kimble, who was falsely accused of his wife's murder. During the series Dr.Kimble seeks to find clues that will help him in identifying the person who is truly responsible. The main clue was Kimble's own eyewitness account of a one-armed man fleeing from the scene of the crime. Throughout his search for this man, Kimble has to avoid capture my an ever determined police detective, Lt. Philip Gerard. Their cat and mouse interaction plays an integral part of the series.
