Taryn Southern is an American actress who gained international celebrity with her 2007 internet viral video Hott4Hill, a Hillary Clinton supported response to the equally popular video Obama Girl.

At an early age, Southern was cast in several regional theatrical performances, then worked as a host of several local public broadcasting shows aimed at teenagers. After graduating with degrees in both journalism and anthropology from the University of Miami, Southern participated in the third season of American Idol. In 2006, she was executive producer and co-star of the reality series Project MyWorld. Then in 2007, she gained instant fame with the release of the Hott4Hill video, which was meant to be a tongue-in-cheek response to the Amber Lee Ettinger video I Got a Crush On Obama. She is currently cast in the lead for the WB on-line series Sorority Girl which debuts on the internet in the fall of 2008. She also recently appeared in the March 2008 edition of the men's magazine Maxim.
