Susan Lucci is an American actress who has played Erica Kane on ABC's daytime soap opera All My Children since the show's premiere on January 5, 1970. The New York Times and Los Angeles Times have stated that she is the highest-paid actor in daytime television with a salary of reportedly over $1 million a year.1
On August 25, 2008, ABC announced Lucci is a contestant on Dancing with the Stars season 7 and is paired with Tony Dovolani.2

Background
Lucci was born on December 23, 1946, in Scarsdale, New York, although she grew up in Garden City. After graduating from Marymount College with a BFA in theater arts she moved to New York City to pursue her acting career. In 1969 she auditioned for the brand new soap opera "All My Children" and landed the role of Erica Kane, a part she has played since.
