Sonny Weems was born on July 8, 1986 in West Memphis, Arkansas. He attended West Memphis High School, 2-years with Arkansas-Fort Smith JC, then University of Arkansas. In his senior year, Weems averaged 15.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists.1 He was named First Team All-SEC by the league coaches and earned the Second Team honors from the Associated Press.1 . Sonny Weems also participated and win the 2008 NCAA Slam Dunk competition.
