Sebastian Horsley

Sebastian Horsley is a controversial British author and painter who frankly discusses his penchant for prostitutes. He wrote a sex-themed column for the Erotic Review and The Observer and published a no-holds-barred autobiography entitled Dandy in the Underworld in 2007. The memoir went into gritty detail about his drug use and encounters with over a thousand prostitutes. ¹

Crucifiction

In 2000 during a traditional Easter ceremony in the Philippines, Horsley was nailed to a cross and crucified. It was documented photographically by Dennis Morris. Horsley later made a series of paintings inspired by the experience.
