Volleyball Career
Rosenthal joined the Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) in 1997. He played in a single event that year, placing 49th. He did not play in the AVP in 1998 or 1999, but returned in 2000. Rosenthal was selected as the top server in the AVP in 2002, then recorded his first AVP victory in 2003 with then-partner Larry Witt. He also made his Federation Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) debut in 2003 and was selected as the FIVB Rookie of the Year in 2006. After switching partners and joining Jake Gibb, Rosenthal was named the best defensive player by the AVP in 2007.4
