Sara Taylor was the White House political director for President George W. Bush from 2003 to 2007. In 2007, Taylor became embroiled in a scandal involving the firing of several U.S. attorneys for what many perceived were political reasons. Taylor was subpoenaed to testify before the House and Senate Judiciary Committees investigating the scandal, and in her subsequent testimony, denied meeting with President Bush prior to the firings.
