Storyline: Rondo of Swords tells the story of the war of the Bretwald Kingdom against the neighboring empire, Grand Meir. After the funeral ceremony of Bretwald's fallen king, Grand Meir sends soldiers to attack Bretwald. The survivors of this attack are led by Serdic (the game's protagonist) against their army. Serdic is former body double of the Crown Prince, killed during the initial invasion. It is his dying wish that Serdic lead his people to reclaim the Kingdom of Bretwalde.
