History

Although several inventors helped develop the science of refrigeration since the 18th Century, it is German engineer Carl von Linden who is often credited for inventing the modern refrigerator. He developed a way to continuously liquefy gases, which results in lower temperatures in the surrounding area.

Buying Guide

First find out how much space you have to work with. Measure the width, depth and hight of the space you intend to put the refrigerator. Based on these measurements select a refrigerator that optimizes the space with refrigerator capacity.

Choose a layout you like. Many refrigerators have adjustable shelves or even specialized racks that can be swapped for shelves. Choose where you want the freezer section.
