Pokemon Yellow

Pokémon Yellow is a role playing based video game.

Story

The story is similar to to other Pokemon games in that you must collect the pokemon in order to get stronger and eventually fight against various gym leaders and the elite four. Pokemon Yellow features Pikachu.

Gameplay

To collect other pokemon you must have the pokeball to catch them. Before that however you must weaken them with your own pokemon. You start out with Pikachu and throughout the game you can check on his condition and see if he needs attention or potions. Also, rather than staying inside of his pokeball, he also follows you around screen. Like previous games, if your pokemon is injured, you can switch to your other pokemon to finish the battle. Each character has different elemental affinity and each is weak against certain elements. For example, lightning is weak against rock-type creatures. It plays like the other pokemon and you will go through the tunnels and encounter random battles. New pokemon are also found in places that you would expect, like rock type characters in dungeons and plant pokemon in forests. You will have to achieve certain goals to be able to enter some gyms and as you fight your pokemon level up. You can still transform your pokemon into stronger versions.
