Phil Dalhausser
Professional beach volleyball player Phil Dalhausser was ranked ninth in the world by the Federation Internationale de Volleyball as of July of 2008.1 Dalhausser and partner Todd Rogers were selected to join the U.S. Olympic volleyball team at the 2008 Summer Olympics.2 He and Rogers were defeated in the first round of the 2008 Olympics by the Latvian volleyball team, but still won the gold medal on August 22, 2008.3

Volleyball Career
After earning a degree in business from the University of Central Florida, Dalhausser joined the Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) in 2003. Starting in 2005, he won the AVP's best offensive player award three years in a row. He joined his current partner, Todd Rogers, in 2006, and together, in 2007, they won the AVP Crocs Cup Championship and were selected as the AVP team of the year. Dalhausser was also named the AVP's most valuable player in 2007.4
