Omega Institute
The Omega Institute of Holistic Studies was co-founded by Elizabeth Lesser and Stephen Rechtschaffen in 1977. The institute offers ways to help find better health, personal growth, and inner peace. The concept of the school originated from the Sufi community and their goal to create a school that would offer a focus in holistic studies.

Offerings at Omega
Classes at the Omega Institute range from learning Sanskrit to discovering the path to Buddhism. Some classes incorporate music and dance, while others focus on yoga and working with animals. The institute also offers special workshops in the New York City are such as special talks with Jack Kornfield, Tara Brach, and Mark Epstein.1
