Oklahoma City Indian Clinic

Guide Note: The Oklahoma City Indian Clinic was established in 1974 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It is a non-profit facility operated by the Indian community. It's sole purpose is to provide quality healthcare to the Native Americans living in the area.
When the clinic was first founded it operated out of a small, cramped building and was staffed by doctors and nurses. They used donated medical supplies and equipment. In 1976, when the Indian Health Care Improvement Act passed the Clinic received government support.
In 1995, the Oklahoma City Indian Clinic began operating out of their new building, Corinne Y. Halfmoon Medical Facility. It offers patients a variety of services ranging from medical, prenatal, dental, pharmacy, optometry care as well as family, behavioral and substance abuse counseling and treatment.They also provide x-ray, ultrasound, lab and mammography services and diabetes and cardiovascular treatment and services.
On April 17, 2008, the Lend a Hand Tour stopped by the Oklahoma City Indian Clinic to provide them with additional supplies. Lend a Hand previously helped Cuidando Los Ninos.
