Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus is a 1998 platformer/puzzle game for the PlayStation. The game was developed by Oddworld Inhabitants and published by GT Interactive. It is the sequel to Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee and the prequel to Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee and Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath.

Gameplay

Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus is a puzzle/platformer game, in which you control Abe the Mudokon via third-person, and attempt to save trapped Mudokons from the warring Glukkon race. Communication with other NPCs (non-playable characters) is key in progressing through the game. Rather than using weapons to defeat foes, Abe uses a number phrases and commands to help rescue his fellow Mudokons: Abe can say “Hello,” “Follow me,” “Work,” along with a number of other commands. However, Some Mudokons may be sick, blind, or angry, and will take extra convincing in order to save them. Unlike its predecessor, the game has a "quick save" function, making it possible to save anywhere; and in addition to the single-player campaign, there is also a two-player mode that will allow two people to take turns guiding Abe through his journey.
