Northern Rock/Virgin Equity Injection
Guide Note:A number of investors, headed by Richard Branson, have submitted a plan to inject cash into struggling Northern Rock PLC on Friday, October 12, 2007. Investors, including AIG Financial Products Corp., are proposing that the Virgin Money brand be transferred to Northern Rock in return for equity. With the close of this transaction Northern Rock will be renamed and rebranded Virgin Money.
