Noppadon Pattama Resigns
Foreign Minister Noppadon Pattama announced his resignation on July 10, 2008, after Thailand's highest court issued a decision that he violated the country's constitution by supporting Cambodia in their application for UNESCO World Heritage status for the controversial Preah Vihear Hindu Temple.
Many in Thailand considered the support a concession of Thai sovereignty.1
