Circuit City offered a free copy of Halo 3's Legendary Map Pack with a preorder of the action adventure Ninja Gaiden II. The Legendary Map Pack is the second downloadable map pack for the sci-fi first-person shooter game Halo 3. The three new maps included are Avalanche, Ghost Town and Blackout. The Legendary Map Pack release date is April 15, 2008 and can be purchased over Xbox Live for 800 MS Points.

Legendary Map Pack Details

3. New Halo 3 Maps:
   1. Avalanche: Remake of the Halo: Combat Evolved multiplayer map, "Sidewinder"
   2. Ghost Town: Not a remake of any Halo map
   3. Blackout: Remake of the Halo 2 map, "Lockout"

Avalanche is a huge and icy map which is best suited for big team gametypes. It is based on the Forerunner Power Station level from the Halo: Combat Evolved multiplayer map "Sidewinder".

2. Suggested gametypes: Team Slayer, Team King, Multi-Flag CTF, One Flag CTF, One Bomb

Unlike the other maps included in the Legendary Map Pack, Ghost Town is a completely new map. This map is medium-sized with a jungle terrain setting that takes place in the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Blackout is a remake of the popular Halo 2 map "Lockout". Blackout is similar to its predecessor in that it has multiple interconnected platforms, but its location has changed to the UNSC research station.
