NFL Draft 1st Round

Guide Note: The 2008 NFL Draft takes place in New York on the weekend of April 26 and 27. This page provides each of the selections in the first round of the draft. While there are 32 teams in the National Football League, the New England Patriots have forfeited their original selection, which would have been 31st, due to the Spygate cheating scandal. The Miami Dolphins finished with the worst record in the 2007 season; because the draft is conducted in inverse order of finish, they have the first selection. The New York Giants will have the final selection of the round, because they won Super Bowl XLII.

1. When: Saturday April 26, 3PM ET
2. TV Coverage: ESPN and NFL Network
3. The time limit with which to make a selection in this round is 10 minutes
4. If time expires, the next team in line can 'jump the pick' by submitting a selection ahead of the team 'on the clock'
5. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announces each selection
