Info
Introduced at WrestleMania 21 in 2005, the Money in the Bank Ladder Match consists of six to eight wrestlers who can win a world title shot if they win.
A briefcase containing a contract is suspended above the ring on a cable. In order to take possession of it, wrestlers must climb a ladder and take it off the cable. There are no disqualifications or count-outs, so weapons like tables and steel chairs are legal.
The winner of the match can "cash in" their winning contract at any time against any world champion on Raw, SmackDown! or ECW.
The Money in the Bank is featured only on the annual WrestleMania pay-per-view.
