Miss Sister 2008
Miss Sister 2008 was a proposed beauty contest for nuns to take place near Naples, Italy, in September 2008. Father Antonio Rungi, the organizer of the event, intended to launch the first stage of the pageant on the Internet by publishing the photos of the contestants on his blog.1
Rungi canceled the event a few days after it was first announced, claiming that his initial purpose of celebrating the good works performed by nuns, had been misinterpreted.2
