Men in Black is a science fiction action comedy film starring Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith.

Smith plays a New York cop named James Edwards who is recruited into a secret government agency known as MIB, or Men in Black, which polices all of the world's shadowy goings-ons such as paranormal activity and UFO landings. Edwards assumes the handle of "Agent J" and is partnered with an older agent who is referred to as "Agent K" (played by Tommy Lee Jones. Together, Agents J and K attempt to thwart the efforts of an evil alien bug who is trying to steal the galaxy.

The film was based on the comic book of the same name, which was written by Lowell Cunningham and published by Aircel Comics (which was bought out by Marvel Comics). Men in Black inspired a sequel, Men in Black 2, many video games and even a theme park ride at Universal Studios Florida.
