Maya Soetoro-Ng is the half-sister of presidential nominee Barack Obama. Maya and Barack share the same mother, Ann Dunham, an American white woman.1
Soetoro-Ng is actively campaigning on her half-brother's behalf for the 2008 presidential election. She will be one of the speakers at the Democratic National Convention in Denver, Colorado, on August 25, 2008.2
