Mario Kart Wii Unlockable Characters

Mario Kart Wii features thirteen unlockable characters including your own Mii, which comes in three different outfits, each of which can be obtained by accomplishing specific goals such as beating the 100cc Special Cup (A), unlocking all 32 Expert Staff Ghost Data in time trials (B), and gaining 15,000 points in VS mode (C).

Out of all the secret characters, four do not require a player to compete in Grand Prix mode.

1. Birdo: Complete a time trial at least once on 16 courses, or win 250 races online.
2. Toadette: Complete a time trial at least once on all 32 courses.
3. Funky Kong: Unlock four expert ghost times in time trial mode.
4. Baby Luigi: Unlock eight expert ghost times in time trial mode.
5. Rosalina: With a Super Mario Galaxy save, win a series of Grand Prix races. With no Super Mario Galaxy save, earn a star ranking on all eight championship cups in Mirror mode.
