Mario Kart Wii Golden Wii Wheel

In the game Mario Kart Wii, wheel icons appear at times during online gameplay. The icons only appear when a player is using the Wii Wheel as their controller. If a player switches to a different controller, the Wii Wheel will disappear. If a player has a golden wheel and a star rating, both icons will appear next to the player's kart. In order to earn a golden wheel icon, a player must achieve both tasks:

1. Compete in 100 Grand Prix games
2. Use the wheel more than 50 percent of the time

VR Points

Reportedly, players who use the Wii Wheel are given more V.R. points after a race following a win or good finish. Those who lose the race are not as punished as players who use a wireless or GameCube controller.
