Mariah Carey American Idol Performance

Guide Note: Mariah Carey has performed twice on American Idoll, On April 6, 2007 Carey performed "Fly Like A Bird" as one of the finale musical numbers on Idol Gives Back. She was accompanied by a band and Randy Jackson played the bass. Carey was originally slated to sing a duet with deceased legendary singer Marvin Gaye, but due to technical difficulties the number was changed a few days before the show.
On April 16, 2008 she wrapped up her week mentoring the contestants by singing "Bye, Bye" a song from her new album entitled First Performance Fast Facts:
