Guide Note: November 24, 2007: Another Malibu Fire forced residents to evacuate their homes early Saturday ahead of a wildfire that has scorched about 250 acres in the hills above Malibu, California. Officials state that the current fire was started by "human activity," but not necessarily set on purpose.

  1. Current mandatory evacuation information in Malibu Bowl Area -- Corral Canyon West to Trancas. Call Sheriff's office for more information at (818) 878-1808
  2. Santa Ana Winds have made extinguishing the flames more difficult
  3. Fire burned more than 1500 acres within hours of breaking out about 3:30 a.m. PST
  4. Originated around Mesa Peak in Corral Canyon, near Malibu Creek State Park
  5. Crossed the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) within 3 hours of breaking out
  6. PCH closed from Trancas to Malibu Canyon
  7. Over 200 homes at risk in Corral Canyon, Latigo Canyon and the Malibu Bowl area
  8. 49 homes, 1 mobile home, 2 out buildings, 8 vehicles lost in the area of Malibu Bowl and Sycamore Meadow Road areas
  9. Similar fire endangered the region on October 21, 2007
