A man who claims he was once
Lindsay Lohan's bodyguard is suing the actress for alleging fraud, intentional infliction of emotional distress, breach of oral contract and a laundry list of state labor code violations. David Kim filed the complaint Monday April 7, 2008 in Los Angeles Superior Court claiming that he is owed more than $55,000 for security and other services rendered.
Previously a former bodyguard of Lindsay Lohan filed a suit, but this time it wasn't against the Hollywood actress. Lindsay Lohan Bodyguard Andrae "Doc" Renard Newman has filed suit against Star Magazine and its parent company American Media Inc., claiming libel, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligence. On June 25, 2007, the publication ran a photo of Renard next to an article in which a different former bodyguard (Lee Weaver) provided "inside information" on the actress.

He further asserts that his chivalrous door-to-door driving services set him back $10,000 out of his own pocket for mileage incurred, valet tips issued and related expenses. A portion of the sum, roughly $1,470, stems from a November 2006 smashup when Lohan's driver made an illegal right turn to avoid paparazzi and hit Kim's trailing vehicle. 1
Star magazine's and it's parent company American Media Inc. calls Andrae Renard's $1 million lawsuit "wildly excessive".2
Shortly after the initial error, Star corrected the caption on its website. The magazine's July 23 edition included a formal retraction. 3
