Lance Parliament, a 24 year old Dakota State University student, died while driving his 1997 Pontiac Grand Am west on Highway 34 about 10 a.m March 26, 2008. His car collided with a tour bus that was heading to Flandreau, South Dakota.

President of the university, Douglas D. Knowlton, sent out an email to the students shortly before 2:00pm expressing his sympathy and offering to help them cope with the loss. Fast Facts:
