Keith Rivers

Keith Rivers is in his senior year with the USC Trojans Football squad and has entered into the 2008 NFL Draft.

Rivers was born in California but was raised in Lake Mary, Florida, where he excelled. Decorated letterman and his awards include :USA Today All-USA first team, Parade All-American, Super Prep All-American, Prep Star All-American, EA Sports All-American, Insiders.com All-American, Super Prep Elite 50, Prep Star Top 100 Dream Team, Lemming Top 10, Super Prep All-Dixie, Prep Star All-Southeast, FOX Sports Net All-South, Gatorade Florida Player of the Year, and played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in 2004.

He was heavily recruited because of his performance in high school. The USC Trojans Football recruited him with the promise he could wear the #55 jersey, traditionally given to a promising linebacker. Lineback coach gave him the nickname "The Shark" for being aggressive on the field and the polite off the field. he had career of 240 tackles and 18.5 for losses.Fast and with great speed he won several wards at college level. He was on watch list for the 2006 Bednarik Award, Lombardi Award, Bronco Nagurski Trophy, and Lott Trophy.Had 75 tackles in 12 games and 5 for losses of 15 yards, 3 fumble recoveries, 4 deflections and one forced fumble.

Fast and tough, who started out as a weak-side linebacker and went to an All-American. Has great speed and range, with long arms. hard worker and runs non-stop, get thru traffic well. On the con side, he could add weight which would help him get stronger. been known to play out of control at times and goes for the knockout, more than wrapping up the play. This player will little work can make any team a great asset.
