Career
After playing college football for three different teams, June Jones became an assistant coach at the University of Hawaii in 1983. He was an assistant coach in the NFL from 1987 to 1998 for the Houston Oilers, Detroit Lions, Atlanta Falcons and San Diego Chargers. In 1999, Jones was named the head coach at Hawaii. On January 7, 2008, Jones was named head coach of Southern Methodist University.1
