Trompe-l'œil
Trompe-l'œil is a French word meaning "To trick the eye". It describes a detailed style of artwork that uses two- dimensional images to create the optical illusion of three dimensions. Shading, color, forced perspective and an imaging technique called anamorphosis are all used to contribute to the sense of depth.
