Jonathan Pollard is a convicted Israeli spy, currently serving a life sentence in the United States. A former civilian intelligence officer for the U.S. Navy, Pollard waived his right to a trial and plead guilty in exchange for limited sentencing in 1986.

The Kadish Connection

While there is no direct link between Pollard and Ben Ami Kadish, who was arrested on April 22, 2008, it is suspected that the two men had contact with the same Israeli consular officer. Kadish is being charged with participating in conspiracy to disclose confidential documents to Israeli intelligence agents between 1979 and 1985. In 1998 Israel admitted that Jonathan Pollard had been working as a spy on their behalf.
