Comedian, actor, writer and producer Jon Stewart has produced and hosted the popular political satire TV show, The Daily Show since 1998. He has also hosted the 2006 Academy Awards and is set to host again in 2008.

Career Highlights
Stewart grew up in New York City then attended the College of William and Mary. He held several jobs after college before he got his start in acting. In the early 1990s he was given his own show on MTV, The Jon Stewart Show. He went on to appear in several films including Half Baked, The Faculty and Big Daddy. Stewart took over as host of The Daily Show in 1998, which has since earned ten Emmy Awards. In addition to writing and producing The Daily Show, Stewart is also the executive producer of the popular Stephen Colbert show The Colbert Report.
