Joey Cheek
Joey Cheek is a former Olympic speed skater and winner of the gold medal in the 2006 Winter Olympics. Cheek, along with UCLA water polo player Brad Greiner, has started Team Darfur, an international coalition of athletes formed to raise awareness about the crisis in Darfur.
August 6, 2008: Cheek was planning to go to China for the 2008 Summer Olympics to support the athletes that are a part of Team Darfur. However, the Chinese embassy revoked his visa.1
