Actor and a comedian Jimmy Fallon was a cast member of Saturday Night Live for eight years. It was announced in April, 2008 that Fallon would take over as host of Late Night with Conan O'Brien in 2009 when Conan O'Brien takes the hosting spot on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Fallon grew up in Brooklyn, New York as a big fan of Saturday Night Live, often reenacting scenes as a child. At age 24 he move to Los Angeles where he worked with the well known improvisation group, the Groundlings.

In 1998 Fallon auditioned for SNL, earning a recurring role for his first season. In 1999 he joined the cast as a full time member, where he continued for eight seasons.

Fallon left SNL in 2004 and had since starred in several films. He appeared in the 2004 film Taxi with Queen Latifah, the 2005 comedy Fever Pitch with Drew Barrymore and the 2008 film The Year of Getting to Know Us with Sharon Stone and Tom Arnold.

In late April, 2008, it was confirmed that Jimmy Fallon would replace Conan O' Brien on Late Night when Conan O'Brien moves to The Tonight Show in 2009.
