Massachusetts State Senate member James Marzilli was arrested on June 3, 2008.

Marzilli was charged with assaulting a woman, lewd and lascivious behavior, resisting arrest and other charges. This is the second claim of "inappropriate" touching made against Marzilli in a two month time-span.

On Tuesday, June 3, 2008, a woman claims that Marzilli sat next to her on a park bench, made an "inappropriate comment" and tried to touch her in a sexual way.

When police approached Marzelli, he gave them a fake name. He was arrested after the police chased him.

Prior to the June 3 arrest, Marzilli was accused by a different woman who claimed he touched her without her consent.

No charges were filed due to the lack of evidence to support the claim.

On April 5, 2008 the woman called the police after his alleged inappropriate actions following a fund-raising event.

The woman was offered a ride home by Marzilli and she let him into her apartment where the alleged incident took place.
