Heiress Arrested
On June 28, 2008, a Boston police officer saw two women leaving the South Street diner with a waitress following them closely. Jacqueline Kent Cooke and her friend were questioned. They said that they "forgot to pay" the bill.
The officer suspected that Cooke was intoxicated after observing her slurred speech and behavior. He warned Cooke not to drive and suggested that she take a taxi home. Finally, Cooke sat in the drivers seat and started the engine. The officer stood in front of the vehicle and called for backup. She then said, "Do you know who I am?" She was arrested for impaired driving.
