Making Sangria
- Once you've got all of the necessary ingredients and equipment, you are ready to start making your own Sangria. The recipe below serves about 8 people. If you're making Sangria for a large party, you may want to double (or even triple) the recipe. Let's get started:
- Take 2 of the oranges and squeeze the juice out of them using your Juicer. Pour the juice into your pitcher.
- Take the 2 remaining oranges and cut them into slices. Do the same with the Lemons and Lime.
- Add the Sugar and Brandy to the juice that is already in your pitcher. Stir until the Sugar has dissolved.
- Pour the bottle of wine into the pitcher, along with the slices of orange, lemon and Lime.
- Finish it off by adding the Club Soda.
- Stir the mixture well and place in the refrigerator to cool.
- Add the ice cubes when you are ready to drink the Sangria.
- Serve and enjoy!
Sangria Tips & Tricks
-
While this recipe calls for oranges, lemons and lime, you can add almost any type of fruit to your Sangria recipe and it will taste good. Some other common fruits include Apples, Grapes and Bananas.
-
If you leave your sangria in the refrigerator for a long time before serving, the fruit will begin to soak up some of the alcohol and will be a nice, boozy treat after you finish your drink.
-
There is no need to use an expensive bottle of wine in order to make good Sangria. With so many other flavors competing for your attention, the qualities of a good bottle of wine may go unnoticed.
-
Be careful. Sangria is one of those drinks that are so good you almost forget there is alcohol in them. Too many Sangrias and you'll end up with quite a hangover.
-
Red wine stains, so be careful that you don't spill you Sangria on white carpets, furniture, or other lightly colored upholstery.
