Crotcheting Tips

1. One common way to hold the hook
2. Put the hook in your dominant hand
3. Hold the hook like you would a pencil
4. Treat the hooked end like the writing end of a pencil

1. The other common way to hold the hook
2. Put the hook in your dominant hand
3. Hold it parallel to the ground
4. Lay your four fingers (no thumb) lightly over the top of the hook
5. Use your thumb on the bottom for balance

1. Hold the yarn with your less-dominant hand
2. Start at the bottom of the yarn and wrap it around your pinky finger.
3. Pass the yarn over the palm of your hand and through your ring and middle fingers.
4. Lay the yarn over your index finger
5. Guide the yarn with your index finger as you use it
