January 31, 2008: Home Depot announced the layoff of 10% of its headquarters staff, or approx. 500 of the 5000 employees in Atlanta, Georgia.

1. 10% layoff only includes HQ staff
2. Personnel will be paid for 60 days, through April 4, 2008
3. No reductions planned for stores at this time
